Description
Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind race experience! The DCS Random Tandem 5+5 is a 500-yard swim plus a USATF sanctioned 5k run. Easy peasy. Is water not your thing? All you have to prepare for is the running part. DCS (Douglas County Stingrays swim team) will take care of the swimming! You run. We swim. In tandem.
During packet pick up on race day, all participants will draw the name of a DCS swimmer, who will race the 500 yard swim while you run or walk your 5k. Instant team! Once you finish, your time will be combined with your swimmer’s time to calculate your tandem finish time. The Random Tandem may pair the fastest runner with the fastest swimmer... or not. Every tandem team has an opportunity to win!
Awards will be given to 5k winners by age group, overall male and female 5k finishers as well as overall Random Tandem 5+5 winning teams.
