Description
Join us for the 2nd Annual Superhero for Special Olympics 5K Run/Walk in Gainesville GA at the Marketplace. The race will be run on the Highlands to Island Trail. It is an out and back course.
Race Day Schedule
Race Day Registration and packet pickup begins at 8AM
5K starts at 9AM
Awards will be after the race.
Awards
Awards will include, Overall male and female, Masters male and female, 3 deep in standard age groups for male and female, plus there will be an award for the largest group/team registered!

Teams
When registering, you can set up a team. Once you set up your team, let friends know they will be able to join your team when they register.
Costumes
Come dressed as your favorite Superhero! It can be a real hero (policeman, Mom, etc.,.) or a comic hero (Hulk, The Incredibles, etc.,.). Just make sure your costume is safe for you and others if you plan on running the event in the costume.
Shirts and Goodies
Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 9/1/2. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size.
Timing and Results
The race will be accurately timed by BT Race Timing. This race WILL NOT be chip timed. Please fill out the finish card, handed to you as you finish. Put your name, age, bib number and gender on the card, no need to put your time. Please turn in your card at the results boards for it to be posted. Failure to turn in your card will prohibit you from receiving an award on race day. Complete results will be posted to RunSignUp.com, BTRaceTiming.com, Athlinks.com and RunGeorgia.com after the race
Virtual and At Home Runners
Virtual runners will not receive a shirt or awards, we appreciate your kind donation.
You can submit a time by clicking on the Results tab at the top of the page but your time will not count toward awards.

Other Information and Refunds
In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds for any reason.
