Description
This race is to support the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance. The funds raised will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends.

Course
The course starts and finishes at the Lavonia Carnegie Library and run through adjacent neighborhoods.
T-Shirts
All pre-registered participants registered by 9/01/24 will receive a T-Shirt. After 09/01/24, T-shirts will be available while supplies last.
Awards
Overall male/female, masters male/female and top three in 5-year age groups 10 & under through 80 & over.
Race Series and Finishline Management
The Run for Taps 5K is proud to be a member of the Black Bag Race Series.
Finish Line management and timing provided by Classic Race Services.
What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
