WE'RE FEEDING THE HUNGRY and RUNNING TO PREVENT PREVENTABLE DISEASES
Bring the whole family and share the fun. It’s a 5K WALK/RUN Trail & Track Event supporting Health & Wellness and Cancer related illness related to obesity. There will be music, activities, hot chocolate, snacks, fruit and water. We are running two races, an Open 5K for walker/runners 14 years and older and Youth 1600m Fun Run for youngsters between the ages 5 of 13. All children will receive acknowledgement of participation. On-site registration begins at 8:00 a.m. All racers are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their race time.
We're asking everyone to bring 3 non-perishable items for the food drive. The school of youngsters that brings the most food will receive a trophy for their school. Also, the school with the most students participating in the race will also receive a trophy for their school. Let's do this, let’s make a difference!
Join the festivities immediately following the closing of the race at the Iron Bowl Event Center located at 1568 Indian Trail (across the street from the track). Race Day Information
8:00 am: Race (BIB) number pick-up opens
8:30 am: Those registering for the race after 8:30 am, including high school students (see details below) will not be timed or included in official results.
9:00 am: 5K Race Begins
10:00 am: Youth 1600m Fun Run
Race Day Registration: Providing that we have not reached race capacity, we will offer race day registration for this event. You will be charged on-site based on the pricing listed above, and asked to complete a waiver. Payment can be made via cash or credit card. In order to be timed and included in official results, you will need to register by 8:30 am. Anyone registering after 8:30 am will not be timed or included in results.
High School Students: We are offering a special race day registration of $15.00 for all high school students; you must register by 8:30 a.m. on race day and have your high school ID to receive the discounted rate.
Safety: For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course.
Course: The course is located on the school campus.
Awards: Medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers (male & female) in each category. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in the following age groups will also receive a medal (5-10; 11-14; 14-20; 21-49 & 50 & over). All Youth participants not finishing in the top 3 will receive a Ribbon of Participation. 5K participants not finishing in the top 3 will receive a Certificates of Participation that will be mailed once results are finalized (approximately thirty days after the event).
T-Shirts: All preregistered participants will receive a 5K Race T-Shirts when they pick up their bib number. Onsite registrants will receive t-shirts on a first come, first served basis.

Novice runners, please train prior to your participation in order to avoid injury and wear appropriate clothing and shoes as this will assist you in achieving your goal.
