Packet pickup is at Driskell Park on Friday, October 17 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pickup is available race morning from 7:30 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. However, we strongly recommend you pick up your packet on Friday because the lines on race morning can be long and we cannot guarantee you will receive your packet before your race begins. If you do need to pick up your packet on race morning please be in line before 8:15 a.m. /  La recogida de paquetes se realizará en el Parque Driskell el viernes 17 de octubre de 16:00 a 20:00 h. La recogida estará disponible la mañana de la carrera de 7:30 a 8:45 h. We provide water on the 5K race course only and post-race nutrition at the finish line, but there is *no* nutrition or electrolyte drinks at the water stations on the course. Water stations are near the first mile marker at 43rd Ave / Kennedy (water station 1) and the second mile marker at 40th Ave / Madison (water station 2). Occasionally neighbors along the course will also put out water and other goodies but these are not associated with the race. / Proporcionamos agua solo en el recorrido de 5 km y nutrición postcarrera en la meta, pero no hay bebidas nutritivas ni electrolíticas en los puestos de agua del recorrido. Los puestos de agua están cerca del primer kilómetro en 43rd Ave / Kennedy (puesto de agua 1) y del segundo kilómetro en 40th Ave / Madison (puesto de agua 2). Registration ends at noon on the Friday before race day (Friday, October 17). There is race day registration but we strongly recommend you register ahead of time. The lines can be long and we don't guarantee you'll be able to register before your race(s) begin. / La inscripción finaliza al mediodía del viernes anterior a la carrera (viernes 17 de octubre). 5K/1K/1M entrants will receive a Hyattsville Zombie Run t-shirt (please see note on size availability below), and each family will receive a goody bag. First-place-finishers in each age category in the 5K and 1M will receive a Zombie Run medal. All registered participants in the 1K Family Fun Run and 1M Kids Run will receive participation Zombie Run dog tags. Finish line food and drink will be available to all racers. / Los participantes de las carreras de 5K, 1K y 1M recibirán una camiseta de la Carrera Zombi de Hyattsville (ver la nota sobre disponibilidad de tallas más abajo) y una bolsa de regalos para cada familia. Our shirts come in adult sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL and youth sizes S, M, and L. The shirts feature this year’s Hyattsville Zombie Run logo, and sponsors are printed on the back. The availability of your t-shirt and your preferred size is not guaranteed as we order shirts well before the race day. / Nuestras camisetas están disponibles en tallas de adulto S, M, L, XL y XXL, y para jóvenes S, M y L. The race starting line is a 20 minute walk from the West Hyattsville metro on the Green Line. Leave the station and walk SOUTH on Hamilton St. and travel 1.1 miles. Turn RIGHT into Driskell Park and follow the signs to the registration/packet pick-up tables. / La línea de salida de la carrera está a 20 minutos a pie de la estación de metro de West Hyattsville, en la Línea Verde. Salga de la estación y camine hacia el sur por la calle Hamilton y recorra 1,1 millas. Gire a la derecha en el Parque Driskell y siga las señales hasta las mesas de registro/recogida de paquetes.

Parking is available at the Hyattsville Municipal lot across the street from the City Building (4310 Gallatin St, Hyattsville, MD 20781). The City of Hyattsville offers a complimentary shuttle to/from Driskell Park, just look for the city bus in the parking lot. Carpooling with your runner or walker friends is also a great option! / Hay estacionamiento disponible en el estacionamiento municipal de Hyattsville, frente al edificio municipal (4310 Gallatin St, Hyattsville, MD 20781). Dogs, skates, and bikes are not allowed on the race course. / No se permiten perros, patines ni bicicletas en el recorrido de la carrera.

Headphones or any listening devices are not permitted during any of the Hyattsville Zombie Run races. Please stay aware of your surroundings for your safety and the safety of the other Zombies ... err... participants. / No se permiten auriculares ni ningún otro dispositivo de escucha durante las carreras de la Hyattsville Zombie Run. The awards ceremony will be held at the conclusion of the 5K, usually by 10:30 a.m. See below for the award categories. In addition, there will be awards for Best Costume. Raffle prizes will be awarded to students who participated as Individual Fundraisers. / La ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo al finalizar la carrera de 5 km, generalmente a las 10:30 a.m., junto a las canchas de baloncesto. 1 Mile Kids’ Challenge Awards – All participants in the 1 Mile Kids’ Challenge will receive a participation dog tag award. First Place Finisher Awards will also be presented to one person in each gender group, for 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 year olds. / Premios del Desafío Infantil de 1 Milla: Todos los participantes del Desafío Infantil de 1 Milla recibirán una placa de identificación. Costumes are encouraged but not required! This is a 5K with a Halloween/Zombie theme to make it fun. There will be awards for costumes and some racers might dress as zombies or in other costumes but there will not be any zombies chasing the runners along the course. This is a fun, family event, and you are welcome to dress as you see fit. Register for the costume contest at the HES PTA tent—you must register to participate! Prizes will be awarded! / Se recomiendan disfraces, pero no son obligatorios. Esta es una carrera de 5 km con temática de Halloween/Zombis para que sea divertida. Habrá premios por disfraces y algunos participantes podrían disfrazarse de zombis o de otros disfraces, pero no habrá zombis persiguiéndolos a lo largo del recorrido. Es un evento familiar y divertido, y puedes vestirte como prefieras. Inscríbete para el concurso de disfraces en la carpa de la Asociación de Padres y Maestros de HES. ¡Es necesario registrarse para participar! ¡Se entregarán premios!

While we do not have a minimum age for individuals to run the 5K, we are not responsible for unaccompanied children on the course. Course marshals are there to keep runners safe and ensure that cars do not enter the course. While they also cheer on the runners, they are not responsible for stopping runners from leaving the course. / Si bien no tenemos una edad mínima para correr los 5K, no nos responsabilizamos de los niños no acompañados en el recorrido. Los comisarios de ruta están ahí para garantizar la seguridad de los corredores y evitar que los vehículos entren en el recorrido.
