Welcome to the Leap Frog for Relay Walk/Run/ Bike "Fun"d raiser for the Mills County Relay For Life! This event will be a family fun event as well as a great afternoon for the more competitive and novice bikers and runners. We will have stagered starts with the more competitive participants starting promptly at 2:00 pm, followed by the novice participants, and then the "Just For Fun" particiapnts.
The "Leap Frog" is a two person team event where where you will both start at the same time; one will bike, and one will walk/run. The biker will pull ahead to the first mile marker and then "hop" off the bike and begin to walk/run. When the first runner reaches the bike at mile marker one, they will "hop" on and "Leap Frog" the participant on foot. The rotation will continue to the Mineola stop. **Bikers, runners, or walkers are welcome to participate individually too.**
When you arrive in Mineola, we want to invite you all to "Tobey Jacks Mineola Steak House" where we will have outdoor activities for everyone and inside there will be ICE COLD Beverages. At 6:00 we will open the dinner buffett, and at 7:00 the Live Auction will start. At 8:00 the "Road Haus" band will take the stage for the rest of the evening! There will also be a Silent Auction opening at 4:00 and ending at the bands first break. (Approximately 10:00.)
All pre-registered particiapnts will get a Relay For Life t-shirt, and meal ticket at registration tent which will open at 12:30pm at the Trail Head.
There will be complimentry water at each mile marker, and the transportation from the Mineola Stop to the Trail head to retreive vehicles and return to Tobey Jack's for the evening fun and entertainment!
