2021 Decorah Rotary Loop de Loop

Date and Time: 

The Decorah Rotary Loop de Loop 5K, 10K and Half Marathon will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Decorah, IA.

The races will begin at 8:00 am with staggered start times for each race.  

• Half Marathon - 8:00 AM
• 10K - 8:30 AM
• 5K - 8:45 AM

Each year we select one or more local organizations or projects to support. This year’s beneficiaries are the new Veteran's Memorial Park in Decorah, the Trout Run Trail and the Rotary Scholarship Fund. Each of these provides Rotary with an opportunity to impact the lives of others in our area.

NEW!  The race will start and finish at the Decorah Community Prairie & Butterfly Garden located at 4 Ohio St near downtown Decorah.  Maps of each route are linked below.  Detailed maps with water stop locations will be provided as the date approaches.  Please note that a portion of each race distance will be on the grass, which means that your shoes might get a little wet from the AM dew.  Parking will be available within the prairie or on-street near the start/finish line on the west side neighborhood of Decorah.  Restroom facilities will be provided at the start/finish line.  Refreshments will be available at the finish.

Courses will close and services discontinued after a 15 minute per mile pace for all races.

Today through Monday, September 6:

• Half Marathon: $45
• 10K: $20
• 5K: $20
• Youth Registration for all events (13-17 years old): $15
• Youth Registration for all events (0-12 years old): Free

Tuesday, September 7, through Saturday, September 18:

• Half Marathon: $55
• 10K: $25
• 5K: $25
• Youth Registration for all events (13-17 years old): $15
• Youth Registration for all events (0-12 years old): Free

Online registration will close at midnight, September 17, 2021.  In-person registration is available during packet pick-up.  T-shirt not guaranteed after September 6.

Packet pick-up is available during the following times:

• Friday, September 17 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Decorah City Hall (400 Claiborne Dr, Decorah, IA 52101)
• Saturday, September 18 from 6:30 - 7:45 am at Decorah Community Prairie & Butterfly Garden (4 Ohio St, Decorah, IA 52101)
  

Timing:

This race will be timed utilizing a disposable timing chip system. Timing chips will be on the back of the race numbers. Race numbers should be pinned on your front between waist and chest height. Race number should not be covered while crossing the finish line.
