Quarry 5K

Join us for the 1st Annual Quarry 5K Walk/Run Event, taking place at The Duenow Quarry, located east of St. Ansgar, Iowa! The gravel quarry trail winds through a crushed limestone stockpile area, leading to a natural meadow habitat. A water station is positioned at the scenic quarry lookout, a perfect place to take stop and take a photo! Next, you will travel through a field area and wind down to the fishing pond before heading up the hill to the finish line on the truck scale!

Registration begins at 8:30 AM with the walk/run starting promptly at 9:00 AM.

Please note this is not a paved trail. It's mostly gravel and some grass. There is a shortcut available which is all gravel. This is a non-timed event.

Proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit The Clausen Park Renovation Project in St. Ansgar and The ROCK Foundation. ROCK Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization started by LR Falk Construction to provide funds and assistance to worthy projects and causes in the area.

Stick around after your run and join us from 10 AM - 1 PM for L.R. Falk's Quarry Day 100 Year Celebration! Cool down with free ice cream and enjoy free hot dogs at Duenow Fishing Pond! Various family-friendly activities will be available. The public is invited to attend!
