Event Overview
Embrace the autumn air and take on the October Climb Time (OCT) Virtual Challenge, hosted by Trail Fridays and sponsored by Fleet Feet Treasure Valley! Whether you're tackling steep trails, urban staircases, or your favorite local hills, this challenge is all about seeing how much vertical gain you can achieve from October 1 to October 31. Let’s get vertical!
At Trail Fridays, we believe in the power of setting and achieving goals. The October Climb Time Challenge is not just about physical activity; it’s about pushing yourself, setting a target, and experiencing the satisfaction of reaching it. Goal setting helps build discipline, fosters a sense of accomplishment, and can significantly boost your physical and mental well-being. Join us in this month-long journey of growth, both on and off the trails.
Challenge Description
From October 1st to October 31st, see how much vert you can achieve! The goal is simple: whoever racks up the most vertical gain wins. Every participant receives swag, and the top male and female climbers will win special prizes. Additionally, there will be raffle prizes for participants who upload their results.

Enter your daily vert data into the platform.
The Leaderboard will update based on the most vert.
The challenge ends at 11:59 PM on October 31st, and winners will be announced shortly after.
Activities must be round trip to count. For instance, hiking up and taking a chairlift down will not be considered.
Only natural outdoor climbs are allowed; no stairmasters or treadmills.
