Description
This is an opportunity to come together as a run community and honor the life of George Floyd and the #BlackLivesMatter movement. You can run, walk, dance, skip, crawl or move in any way you’d like! The distance is set at 8.46 miles which represents the amount of time that George Floyd was held down with a knee in his back which resulted in his death.
The race price is set at $5 with an option to donate more if you’d like. All money collected for this race will be given to the Rockford NAACP to support their Youth Council of Young Leaders.
You can complete your distance at any time, in any place you are comfortable doing so. Please post pictures to the event page too!
