Saturday, June 24rd 2023!

Each year in the U.S. there are more than 400,000 children in the child welfare system.

In many of these reported cases families desire to parent well, but are living in isolation and lack a compassionate community of support.

Founded in 2003, Safe Families for Children is fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion. Through a base of compassionate volunteers, we build a network to support families in social isolation facing crisis. Our goals are to prevent child abuse and neglect, reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system, and support and stabilize families.

Lydia Home Association has been serving children and providing HOPE HEALING and HOME to children Chicago since 1916. The mission of Lydia is to strengthen families to care for children and care for children when families cannot through their residential, intact, counseling, safe families PLUS, and foster care programs.
