Across Southern Illinois, families are struggling to put food on the table. For many, a warm meal isn’t guaranteed — it’s a hope. Heaven’s Kitchen Food Pantry has been a lifeline for countless local families, serving those facing food scarcity right here in our own community.

Now, Shirts For Vets is asking our neighbors, friends, and fellow veterans to join us in making a difference — one step at a time.

Miles That Matter is more than a run or a walk. It’s a mission. Every registration, every mile, and every photo shared helps provide meals for families who need it most. Whether you complete 3 miles or 50, your effort feeds hope.

We’re calling on our community to come together now more than ever. Lace up your shoes, gather your family, and help us turn miles into meals. Run, walk, row, ruck — whatever moves you — and let’s prove that when Southern Illinois comes together, no one gets left behind.
