10th annual Great Highwood Pumpkin Fest hosts 4th annual 5K family friendly run/walk to benefit Make-A-Wish Illinois

The Highwood Superhero 5K Run/Walk takes place during the Great Highwood Pumpkin Fest. Come dressed as a superhero like Superman, Ant-Man, Batman, Spiderman or whoever your superhero is!  Your superhero may be your mom, dad or a friend who went above and beyond the call of duty. ALL proceeds go to benefit Make-A-Wish Illinois. Our goal during the event is to raise enough funds to help grant many WISHES! 

The course starts in front of the famous Bent Fork Bakery in downtown Highwood and guides you along the beautiful lake front trail and through historic Fort Sheridan and then back again. You will run by thousands of carved jack-o-lanterns which will be lit later that evening. A sight not to be missed. 

SPECIAL OFFERS: Along with a t-shirt, all runners will receive a complimentary beverage at the end of the race. For those 21 and over, you can choose a Bloody Mary or beer.

Midtown Athletic Club would like to invite our runners/walkers to participate in special offers. You will be contacted for details.

PACKET PICK UP: Pre-race packet pick up will take place on Monday, October 7 at 7-9am, noon-2pm and 5-7pm at Midtown Athletic Club, 2211 Waukegan Rd A, Bannockburn, IL 60015. Additionally, packets will be available for pick up at the Midtown Athletic Club booth on the festival grounds on Thursday, October 10 at Community Night from 5-8pm or on Friday, October 11 from 4-8pm. You can also pick up packets on race day at the on-site registration table as early as 7:30 am.

NOTES: Stroller, bike, scooter, wagon and pet friendly! Special route for walkers. Rain or shine.
