Welcome to Stop 10: McLean, a 6.6K run/walk through one of the most charming villages along the Mother Road. Home to the beloved McLean Depot Train Shop, this stop blends small‑town warmth, railroad heritage, and Route 66 nostalgia into a uniquely meaningful chapter of our statewide journey.

This series stands in solidarity with Enric Casacuberta, who is running the entire Illinois stretch of Route 66 solo to honor those living with ALS. At each stop, participants join Enric for a 2.1‑mile shared “Sidekick” segment — a symbolic reminder that no one travels this road alone. McLean is one of the most heartfelt meet‑up points, where community and courage meet at the tracks.
