Run, Walk and Play for PTSD

Runners and walkers ages 8 and up are invited to participate in this morning event to kick off the Park District's Summer Sizzle Festival. Our local police and fire departments along with our military personnel risk their lives to protect this country each and every day. It is our goal to get families out walking, running and playing at this event with a portion of the proceeds going to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This course will be approximately 2.5 miles in length. It will take you through the forest preserve and the streets of Morton Grove. During the last portion of the course there will be 3 challenging fitness inflatables for you to conquer to finish the race. These inflatables are optional but we encourage everyone to give it a try and cheer each other on to the finish line. All participants will receive a t-shirt, finishers medal, a free beer ticket (ages 21 and over), head gear and entry in to our post-race refreshment area. Register by May 10 to guarantee t-shirt size.
