IVS Grand Prix Participant Information

The Grand Prix Series is a race circuit for IVS members that rewards participation in running and IVS events throughout the year. 12 IVS Grand Prix Series races offered $5.00 registration discounts to IVS Grand Prix Participants in 2023. Points are distributed across age groups and gender; age group is determined by participant’s age as of 31 December. Awards will be presented at the IVS annual meeting & awards ceremony (to be held on the 3rd - or 4th (snow date) - weekend of February the following year) and are awarded based on the number of races and volunteer opportunities completed and total points accumulated.

Participants must complete three (live, not virtual) IVS Grand Prix Series Races and accumulate 20 volunteer points to be eligible for Annual Awards. All IVS Grand Prix Participants are eligible for IVS Grand Prix Series race discounts.

Grand Prix Race Discount Codes are available to all currently registered Grand Prix participants Grand Prix Discounts on the Grand Prix event page.. Grand Prix Registration for 2024 is required. 2024 IVS membership required view Grand Prix Race Discounts and to be recognized and/or receive awards.

What do we mean by "Grand Prix" race? There are a number of IVS Grand Prix Series races every year. These are the races that are officially recognized as Grand Prix races by our running club. Non Grand Prix races count for half points for GP participants.

Registrants Highlighted in Blue are confirmed 2024 participants .. Confirmed Participants highlighted in Green may eventually be able enter their own points into the spreadsheet. Self entry is an experimental work in progress, so please be patient and contact us if you have difficulty with the spreadsheet. Self entry is NOT required.

IVS will continue to enter points for IVS Grand Prix events (as time allows). Please either enter Volunteer Points and Non-Grand Prix event points (IF we can enable those features - there are technical hurdles not yet overcome - and, YES, if you are or you know a Google sheet expert willing to help, please step up!), or send the event name, distance, date and a link for the results to us.
