Rockford 70.3 Preview Run

This is an organized “Group Run” to preview the IRONMAN/Rockford 70.3 run course.  

The group run will be a casual, social event and is not designed as a training run or hard workout event.

** Start and Finish **

The group run will start NEAR the area designated to be the Transition Area of the IRONMAN/Rockford 70.3 triathlon.  

Please gather near Cedar Street – behind the Embassy Suites/Rockford IL (416 S. Main Street, Rockford IL).

** Event Details **

-8:30am CST

-Pre-RUN Mobility and Dynamic Warmup Hosted by TriLabs

-10:00am CST

-Organized “Group Run” hosted by RRM, TriLabs, IRONMAN, Go-Rockford, Race Day Performance, Peak Sports Club

-Approximately 6.55 miles.

-1 loop of the IRONMAN/Rockford run course as a group.

-2nd loop “on your own” if you want to complete the full 13.1 course.

-Rock River Multisport will provide a “Lead Bike”.

-The Run Course will be marked with arrows or signage by RRM prior to this event.

-Possible aid station at 3.5 miles (water only).

-Insurance for all participants provided.

** Run/Group/Pace **

This is designed to be a casual group run to enjoy the triathlon community, meet new athletes, promote the IRONMAN/Rockford event,

and showcase the beautiful run course on the Rock River. 

Pace groups will be put together the day of the event so that everyone will have company on the run.

** Entry Fee **

Entry fees are to cover the cost per participant for insurance, organization, and support of this event.

Any funds remaining will be used to provide refreshments at the finish – similar to the IRONMAN/Rockford Bike Course preview group ride.

** IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION **

-This group run will be on the published course from IRONMAN/Rockford 70.3 website.

-NOT a closed course for this event.

-There will be normal car traffic on the roads and normal running/walking traffic on recreational paths.
