FAQ
Is this a chip timed event? Yes. This is a chip timed event, and after the event see our results tent for a results printout and to claim awards.
Can I register the day of the race? Maybe. If there are spots still open, than yes. However, it will be at the highest price point which is $40. If the events are full, there will be no race day registrations. We will make this announcement ahead of time.
Do you provide refunds? No. If you have any questions, please email us at contact@stampederunningco.com
Can I run/walk with my dog? No. As much as we love dogs, for liability reasons they are not allowed during the race.
Can I run/walk with a stroller? Yes. Absolutely bring the little ones! We only ask that out of respect for the other participants, please keep to the far right side of the trail.
I can't make the event, can I transfer my registration to someone else? Yes. You just have to let us know 10 days in advance.
Is there a fee to enter Veterans Park? No. The park is free to enter year round. The parking is free in the park and along E. Lagoon Dr. If you park in the structure across from the Milwaukee Art Museum, there is a parking fee.
Will there be restrooms on site? Yes. There is a bathroom building near our start area, and there will be extra porta-potties on site.
Are there age group awards? Yes. Top overall male and female for both distances get an award. Plus, top 3 in each age group get an award. All awards are based on chip time. Age groups are: Under 14, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
What if it's raining, will the event be cancelled? Maybe... but probably not. We will hold this event rain or shine. We may delay the race for up to 30 minutes to accommodate bad weather, or cancel the event if the weather is too dangerous to run/walk. In the event of a cancelled event, there will be no refunds. We cannot control the weather... but it would be cool if we could :)
Are their aid stations on the course? Yes. The 5k course will pass the aid station 2 times. The 10k will pass 4 times.
I registered for the actual race, but I can't make it, can I switch to virtual race? Yes. That is not a problem as long as you let us know by 8/16/2019.
I registered for the virtual race, when will I get my swag? Your shirt, medal, and bib will be mailed out the week following the race.
