Walking for the Health of It 2024- In Color!

Get ready for an explosion of color during Walking for the Health of It-In Color 5k run/walk! Be sure to wear a white tshirt and we'll make sure you leave covered in color!

This is our 4th annual 5K Run & 1 mile Memory Walk. We are walking to raise awareness for mental health issues including the reduction of stigma and the promotion of positive support, healthy habits & suicide prevention. Mental illness affects 1 in 4 people every year, meaning that nearly every family in our community is affected. 

Course - 5K mapped course at Avon Town Hall Park, Avon Indiana

Awards - Medals for top male and female overall. All kids receive their own participation medal.

Entry fee includes

- An awesome WFTHI In Color t-shirt*
- A custom WFTHI In Color bib with your name printed on it**
- 12 total opportunities to be drenched in color!
- Entry to community health & wellness fair, kids activities and yard games including guest speakers, a DJ, and food/ refreshment trucks. 

* The t-shirt cut off is May 1st- you must be registered by this date to receive an event t-shirt
** The cutoff date to have your name printed on the custom bib# is April 25th. If you are running in memory of someone you can also choose to have their name printed on the bib. 

Fundraising- Both individual and team fundraising options are available to all participants. Earn complimentary 5K entry using our inline fundraiser option. Select Become a fundraiser in the left-hand column for more information. 

If you would like to sponsor a member/consumer to participate in the run/walk, please choose the Sponsor a participant under the donation tab. The cost is $25 per member/consumer.

If you would like a memorial sign in memory of someone you've lost to suicide placed along the route, please send your request to deana.carter@mhahc.org. Please send a photo along with their name and birth/passing dates. Please have all requests submitted by April 30th.
