WHAT IS THE

GREAT FUTURES FAMILY BIKE RIDE?

The Great Futures Family Bike Ride is a new special

event hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County.

It is a non-competitive ride that celebrates families and

living healthy lifestyles. The Great Futures Family Bike

Ride is open to the entire community.

Families can ride a portion of the trail or the entire

length and back. We will have water stations, maps,

and rest areas along the 10-mile trail. The Community

Area (at the Chesterton trail head), will feature event

registration, bike safety checks and demonstrations,

helmet fittings and sponsor information tables/tents.

We anticipate approximately 300 participants will

enjoy riding on the trail during the event.

10 mile ride on the Prairie-Duneland trail with mile-markers and optional stops/turnaround points at 1, 2, and 5 miles.

1)      Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult   2)      Helmets and close-toed shoes are required to be worn by all riders   3)      T-shirts must be ordered by April 20th to guarantee availability
