Description
This 8th annual event boasts a 22-kilometer hike, silent auction, and raffle. Join us after the hike for vendors, live music, and food.
Fort Wayne 22, Inc. is organized to facilitate community involvement in the support and assistance of Veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) while simultaneously educating on suicide prevention and mental illness. The organization was established June 2014 by two local Marines, Jarred White and Tyler Egbert, in response to the Veteran suicide epidemic. Both men felt compelled to take action and promote change within their local communities by creating an annual event representing the 20 plus Veterans that take their own lives everyday due to unresolved mental health ailments.
CIVILIANS: $25 Early Bird Registration / $50 Late Registration & Day of Hike
VETERANS: $0 FREE (Proof of status will be REQUIRED Day of Hike. Example: Military ID or DD214)
Registration begins at 8:00 AM. Hike begins at 9:00 AM.
