Moving for MOHI

DESCRIPTION
Zenas Baptist Outreach team is hosting a 5K run/walk fundraiser event at Tripton Park in North Vernon on May 8th starting at 9am. Bring the whole family and walk, run, jog, or dance your way through our 3.1 mile course. This event is to raise money for Missions of Hope International (MOHI).  MOHI is a Christ-centered NGO that serves orphaned and vulnerable children, their families, and others in disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya. MOHI’s goal is to alleviate the effects of extreme poverty by empowering individuals to transform their families and communities. After your race, enjoy a snack and learn more about Missions of Hope International. 

RACE INFORMATION
We will be having two races. The competitive race will begin at 9:00 AM. This race is for all of the serious competitors. There will be a trophy awarded to the top male and female runner. The race will be timed. Results will be posted on our Run Sign Up page within 24-72 hours of the finish. The second race is a non-competitive race that will begin at 10:15. Photos will also be taken at the finish line and uploaded onto our page. We will begin our fun run after all of the competitors finish the race. This race is open to people of all ages who want to run, walk, jog, or boogie your way through the course. 

ENTRY FEE
ALL ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. We are accepting entries online or you may choose to fill out a registration form. Children under 5 are FREE and will be discounted at checkout. ***EVERYONE planning on running/walking Moving for MOHI run complete a registration form and sign the waiver!

5 and Under: FREE (Must sign up and sign wavier)

6 and 12: $10 + $2.16 processing fee

13 and up: $20+ $2.16 processing fee

GIVEAWAY/PRIZES
Awards will be given to the top place male and female runners in the competitive race.

AFTER THE RACE
We will provide you with a water and banana after the race. We will present awards and information about MOHI after the race as well. 

THANKS
We thank you for supporting Missions of Hope International. All proceeds will be used to help orphaned and vulnerable children, their families, and others in disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya. It will also be used to help fund a project in Kenya to create a school where individuals can come and get welding certificates, that will intern make them more marketable and be able to better provide for their families.
