Description
The Survival Shuffle is a relaxed, move-on-your-own 10K to benefit LUM Camp. The event is organized by the family of former LUM facilities manager, Tom Jaques, who died of cancer in 2020. The Survival Shuffle was Tom's term for jogging, and as you participate we encourage you to think of the joy that children at LUM Camp will experience and to remember loved ones of your own who may have passed away. During the week preceding Father's Day (June 10-16) you can run, jog, swim, bike, row, crawl, or dance your way to 10K. And if that doesn't fit your lifestyle, you can knit, garden, or do your favorite craft for 2 hours instead. You are welcome to take the entire week to accomplish your 10K or 2 hours, broken up into as many chunks as you like. There is no registration fee, but donations are welcome, and all proceeds will go towards LUM Camp - which provides a fun and enriching overnight camp experience to young children who couldn't otherwise afford it.
