Breath of Life 5K Walk/Run

*****Due to the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, Winona Lake is cancelling all event for the month of May. This race will no longer take place on Saturday May 23rd. Our team is working to reschedule this race for later this year.

Join Breath of Life Haiti for our Memorial weekend 5K walk/run event on Saturday May 23, 2020 in beautiful, Winona Lake, Indiana. This race is family-friendly-- strollers/wheelchairs welcome!

Pre-register by May 15, 2020 and receive an event t-shirt.

Registration fee ON or BEFORE May 9th is $35.

Registration fee AFTER May 9th is $40.

Children 12 & under are FREE! (Participation only. Does not include t-shirt, but they are available to purchase if desired.)

Race day check-in is 8:00-8:45a.m. Late Registration will be available on race day, but will be limited with a cost of $40. (preferred t-shirt size not guaranteed.)

Breath of Life Haiti is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to empower the people of Haiti through education; while fighting maternal and infant mortality by providing midwifery care and sharing the love of Christ.

With a population of 10 million, Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Due to geographic remoteness and socioeconomic status, many mothers in Haiti do not receive the care they require. In fact, only about 25% of births in Haiti are attended by a skilled provider.

As a result, Haiti is the most dangerous country in the Western Hemisphere to give birth. Haiti also has the highest rates of infant and under-five mortality. Children who have lost their mothers are up to 10 times likely to die prematurely than those who have not.
