2021 Eagle River Triathlon
June 6, 2021: Live In-Person Sprint Triathlon
May 28 - June 6, 2021: Virtual Triathlons and Duathlons
The 2021 Eagle River Triathlon is a go! Our motto this year is to Stay Positive, Stay Healthy and Be Active!
We are excited to offer a hybrid event this year with multiple race options to choose from:
- Live in-person event on June 6, 2021: 300 yard swim (snake swim), 12.4 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Virtual events May 28 – June 6, 2021: Several race formats to choose from. Do one, two, or all of them if you like!
By offering a scaled back in-person event and several virtual race options we are able to manage the mitigation and safety measures necessary to hold a fun and safe event as we still navigate the coronavirus pandemic. While some aspects of the event will be slightly different to aid with social distancing and other safety measures, we remain committed to ensuring that the Eagle River Tri (ERT) continues as Alaska’s favorite triathlon for the hundreds of racers who participate each year.
Registration will open on on February 1, 2021 for deferred racers and general registration will open on February 21, 2021. We will update current and past registrants via email and on this website. Look for updates soon and visit the registration page for more information.
Part of being a triathlete is being strong, determined and tenacious; that coupled with the true Alaskan spirit is what makes the Alaska triathlon community so awesome. We are thankful for this great community and look forward to a great 2021.
REFUNDS & CHANGING EVENTS
THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ONCE A REGISTRATION HAS BEEN PROCESSED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Planning and developing an athletic event that ensures adequate support and supplies for participants is difficult. We rely on the registration information to provide us with an accurate participant count. Because this is vital to the success of our events, there will be no refunds once a registration has been processed.
If the at the time of the in-person event local regulations limit the ability to hold the live event, all racers registered for the in-person event will be converted to the virtual event(s).
Racers who register for the in-person event and decide at a later time to switch to the virtual event may do so directly in the Run SignUp platform. Likewise, racers registered for the virtual event may switch to the in-person event prior to June 3, 2021 if there is space available. Changes after May 15, 2021 will be subject to the price increases effective on that date.
