Description
Create a team with your family and friends and challenge yourselves to ride the distance across California virtually. Select the 155 mile challenge to complete the distance from San Francisco to South Lake Tahoe, the 347 mile challenge to complete the distance from San Francisco to Los Angeles or the 705 mile challenge to complete the distance from north to south.
Here's how it works:
1. Get registered! If you plan to register with a team, choose your teammates and come up with a fun team name. The first person to register creates the team. After the team has been created, each team member can join the team during their individual registration process.
2. The challenge begins on 6/12. Starting on 6/12, each team member rides where and when they want to accomplish the distance.
3. Once your team has completed the 155, 347 or 705 mile challenge, submit your results to get your finisher certificate and you'll have earned bragging rights to say you and your team accomplished the #GreatRideAcrossCalifornia.
4. Once you have registered, your shirt will be shipped to you right away. Once you complete the challenge, your medal will be shipped to you.
How to submit your result
Log your miles each day to track your progress throughout the challenge. You can submit your mileage for each activity daily, weekly or whenever you would like so that you don’t have to keep track of your mileage on your own.
Click here and follow the directions below to submit your results.
1. Click on “Submit Virtual Results”.
2. Look up your registration by name or email address/date of birth.
3. Click on “Submit Virtual Results” for the event you would like to submit results for.
*Note* If you are not logged into Run Sign Up it will have you verify your registration via email address or phone number.
4. Fill out the details of your activity for the day and click “Submit Activity”
5. Your ride for the day has been uploaded! If you are on a team, please go to step 6.
Your mileage will automatically be tallied together to show you how close you are to your goal.
6. If you are on a relay team, each team member needs to follow the steps above to individually log their miles. You can track your team’s cumulative mileage by clicking on your Group/Team Name in the overall results board. When your team has completed the challenge click here to be added to the final results team leader board. Stay tuned for updates such as a team challenge tracker map and more.
FAQ's
When will my shirt be shipped?
Shirts will be shipped out weekly beginning on 6/17.
When will my medal be shipped?
Medals will be shipped once you/your team completes the challenge.
How many people can I have on team?
Teams can have 2-20 participants.
How long do I have to complete the challenge?
Teams have 15 days to complete the challenge, individuals in the 705 mile challenge have 50 days, individuals in the 347 challenge have 40 days, and individuals in the 155 challenge have 25 days to complete the challenge.
How do I print out my finisher certificate?
Congratulations on conquering the The Great Ride Across California Virtual Team Relay/Solo Challenge! After you submit your results, there is a button in the top right corner that says "print my finisher certificate." If you are a team relay runner, once your results are posted on the results board, you can click on them and then select "print my finisher certificate."
I ran as a team and I submitted my results in the Google form. When will my results show up?
Please allow 48 hours for our team to get your results on the state-wide leader board.

When do I need to submit results by?
You can submit results anytime before September 30th.
What charity does The Great Ride Across California support?
This race supports the Children's Heart Foundation. 10% of your registration goes toward the Children's Heart Foundation. If you would like to donate additional funds, you can do so under the "Charity" tab.
