Parks and Rec Month: National Park Picture Contest

Have you stood on the ledge of the Grand Canyon? Hugged a giant redwood? This month, we’re appreciating the 63 beautiful sanctuaries of nature spanning 31 states and 2 U.S. territories. Submit your best shot in our National Park Picture Contest and win an outdoorsy prize. Remember: take only photographs and leave only footprints.

Rules: The picture can be from any period of time from any US National Park. The photo must be from an iconic landmark that specifically designates the National Park it originates from. Submissions may begin on July 1 and must be submitted by July 19. Submissions must be sent to nbc_mwr_comrec@us.navy.mil.

The public is welcome to vote for their favorite snapshot on Facebook from July 22-28. The winner will be announced on Monday, July 29 and receive a fitbit. The runner-up will also win a portable hammock!
