Description
Have you ever thought that you could run the entire border of CT? From the shores of Long Island sound all the way to Mystic, up to the quiet northeast corner and to the Litchfield Hills, this summer is your chance to run with your heart around CT and for CT! The border of Connecticut is approximately 500 kilometers or 310 miles. From June 1-August 31 is 92 days. That's an average of just under 3.4 miles per day or about 24 miles per week. That's certainly doable for all you awesome runners out there! You can even run on the treadmill if you like.
- SINGLE Border Challenge = 500K (310 miles)
- DOUBLE Border Challenge = 1000K (620 miles)

EVENT DETAILS/SWAG
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with details/instructions for submitting your results as well as social media platforms to interact with others in the "Hearts Around Connecticut" such as Facebook, Strava, and Instagram.
- All runners will receive a limited edition "Hearts Around CT" shirt to proudly wear during some of your runs. We have AWESOME custom medals for all as well. Double Border Challenge participants will receive an even larger medal!!

EVENT BENEFICIARY
We are partnering with Connecticut Food Bank to help those in need during the pandemic. Many people have lost their jobs and source of income. Any donation that you can offer will help alleviate and assist so that individuals and families don't go hungry this summer and beyond. We will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from the event back to the Connecticut Food Bank.

The mission of Connecticut Food Bank is to provide nutritious food to people in need. Connecticut Food Bank is committed to alleviating hunger in Connecticut by providing food resources, raising awareness of the challenges of hunger, and advocating for people who need help meeting basic needs. Connecticut Food Bank partners with the food industry, food growers, donors, and volunteers to distribute nutritious food to people in need. Connecticut Food Bank distributes food through a network of 600 partners and programs in Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, and Windham counties – where nearly 270,000 people struggle with hunger. Last year, Connecticut Food Bank distributed food to help provide 22.5 million meals.
