The Unicorn Hunting Project

Behind The Wheel is thrilled to announce our inaugural 'Virtual 5K & Half Marathon" to increase Mental Illness Awareness, raise funds for Susan G. Komen, Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance and, Back On My Feet. 

The Unicorn Hunting Project was born out of a burning desire to serve the running community and beyond.  It evolved out of need to turn up the volume on positivity.  I started noticing that an inordinate amount of time was being spent promoting salacious news stories, gossip and negativity and not nearly the same effort was being invested into the promotion and development of positive stories. 

Rather than sit and complain I wanted to change the narrative, so I decided to take "Behind The Wheel" on a 35 States Cross Country tour in my Mini Cooper, produce a mini documentary, 35 podcast episodes and run with a few of my friends from around the country.  So what are unicorns?  Unicorns are not mythical creatures, they’re actually ordinary people who are doing EXTRAordinary things within their communities, often their stories are ignored. 

The Unicorn Hunting Project will be sorta of a Humans of New York meets Parts Unknown.  We're hunting unicorns , come run with us from wherever you are in the world.  #runforachange #runforacause #runurcity #runurstate #runurworld.
