Description
Celebrate the beginning of a New Year by participating in the 39th annual Frosty 5K New Year's Day race hosted by the Guilford Rotary Club. The course will take you past many iconic sights in this celebrated coastal New England town - the green, marina, and fairgrounds. Packet pick up day of race will be at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center, 32 Church St, Guilford as will post race awards, and refreshments, including hot clam chowder! The race starts and finished on the Guilford Green.
Registration will only be possible via this online platform and with it you will be able to register until 10:30 am on race day, January 1, 2024. But remember, the price increases after December 25th. All registered participants will be able to collect bib/race packets from Marathon Sports, Branford (formerly soundRUNNER) Saturday, Dec 30th from 10-6 and Sunday 31st from 10-4, or at the Community Center prior to race start. Immediately following the race, refreshments and award presentations will take place immediately after the race.
Race Schedule:

- On race day, please allow plenty of time to park before collecting your race number.
- 09:30 am-10:45 am Race Day check-in and bib collection at Nathanael B. Greene Community Center.
- 10:30 am Kids Fun Run Start
- 11:00 am 5K Run & 2M Walk Start
- 11:45 am Post-race celebration and awards presentations
Entry Fees:
- 5K & 2M Walk - $30 online (until Dec 25, 2023), thereafter $35 from Dec 26, 2023 through to Jan 1, 2024
- Family Group Registration - 5K or Fitness Walk (up to 4 people) - $100 online (until Dec 25, 2023) thereafter $125 from Dec 26, 2023 through to Jan, 1 2024.
- Kids Fun Run - $10 online through Jan 1, 2024. Includes Frosty Fun Run Tee Shirt and participation ribbons
Race Shirts:
- Entrants who register before December 16, 2023 for the 5K and 2M Fitness Walk are eligible to receive long-sleeved tech shirts. For registrations after this date, shirts will be subject to availability.
Awards:
- 1st male & female winners receive Marathon Sports gift cards; 1st male & female winners from Guilford receive Planet Fitness gift cards.
- Top male & female finishers in each age group receive medals:
- 12 & under
- 13-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-79
- 80+
- Fun Runners will each receive finisher ribbons and Frosty 5K cotton long-sleeve shirts
Post-Race Party:
- Refreshments will be available after the race at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center.

Warm The Children is a non-profit organization providing new winter clothing for needy children on the shoreline. With community support, Rotary volunteers take families in need shopping for coats, boots, gloves and other apparel.
Guilford Rotary Club Memorial Educational Fund, Inc.
The Guilford Rotary Club Memorial Educational Fund, Inc. provides scholarships to people seeking educational financial aid for job training, community colleges and under graduate and graduate studies at colleges and universities. In 2020, we awarded a total of $24,000 in scholarships.
Guilford 2009 Boys Soccer Team
The Guilford 2009 Boys Soccer Team invites you to help support New Haven’s Community Soup Kitchen at the Frosty 5K on race day. The Soup Kitchen caters to more than 250 guests each day, your contribution will help the kitchen buy much needed hot beverage equipment to warm the hearts and hands of their growing community. Let us warm your hands on race day by stopping by our table at the finish to purchase hot cocoa and hand warmers. All proceeds will benefit the soup kitchen.
