Get Ready for the Fast and the Furriest! All to support shelter animals!
Support The Gulf Coast Humane Society on December 3, 2022 for the 12th Annual The Fast & The Furriest 5k Run/1 Mile Fun Walk Hosted by Pelican Preserve Town Center! All levels of Runners/Walkers are welcome! You can run or walk with or without a furry friend!
The event will be held at Pelican Preserve Town Center located at 10561 Veneto Drive Fort Myers, FL 33913.
*Shirts will be given to the first 400 to register - Size/Gender cannot be guaranteed - early packet pickup recommended*
Price increase of $5 per registration the Day of Race
6:30 am- Onsite registration opens and bib pickup
7:30 am- 5K Race begins
7:45 am- 1 Mile Fun Walk begins
Pet-friendly vendors on-site, build your own SWAG BAG by visiting each vendor table.
After the race, stick around for refreshments, photos and Awards!

AWARDS GIVEN TO OVERALL MALE & FEMALE AND TOP 3 IN EACH AGE GROUP BELOW (MALE & FEMALE)
12 & Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Up
Special Awards will be presented to Top Team & Top Individual Fund Raiser.

In 1947, the Gulf Coast Humane Society was established as the first non-profit animal welfare organization in southwest Florida. For the past 74 years, GCHS has rescued, cared for, and found forever homes for tens of thousands of abused and neglected dogs and cats – animals in need, abandoned and deserving of a second chance. We do this without one tax dollar from any federal, state or county government. We also do not receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States or any other national animal welfare organizations. One-hundred percent of our funding is derived from individual and corporate donations, grants, bequests and fundraising events.
