Date TBD (expected to be a weekend in November or December) Homestead, FL 33034 US

Everglades Adventure Run Powered by Baptist is Postponed

New Date: Date TBD (expected to be a weekend in November or December)

COVID-19 UPDATE

Participants of the Everglades Adventure Run,

We regret to inform you that the Everglades Adventure Run Powered by Baptist Health will no longer take place on the original scheduled date of April 18. We are working on a new date for the event. However, please note that due to the uncertainty of the current public health crisis and the beginning of the wet/mosquito season in the Everglades we will be postponing to the late fall time frame (November-December). This should provide a pleasant experience from a weather perspective. In light of the rather lengthy wait time we are giving you two main options of deferring/transferring your entry to that later date yet to be announced or you can request a refund of your entry fees (minus the processing fee from your initial transaction). We would love to host a virtual run but the truth is that this experience was meant to be done together. This is designed to be more than just a run!

Also, we are happy to report that there has been a significant number of you that have donated money to The Everglades Foundation and we thank you for doing so. That being said, we also extend that same option to refund those donations as well. Either way whatever the donation total is it will be sent to the Everglades Foundation. In fact, we are already working closely with the good folks at the Foundation on ways to make the postponed event an even greater impacting event for the cause.

We thank you for your patience as we sort this all out, this is unchartered territory for all of us but we are runners so we are determined to get to that next start line. We will be in touch as we get updates on the new date selection. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Stay healthy and safe. Oh and one more thing! Big shout out to the great work the people at Baptist Health continue to do as they deal with the Coronavirus!

Here Are Your Options:

We will transfer/defer your registration to the new event date once it is set, and look forward to having you join us. Thanks for your patience! Expect this date to be in the late fall (November-December). If that date we announce doesn't work, we will still allow you to request a refund up to 30 days prior to that event date.

You understand that events are expensive to plan for, even when cancelled or postponed, and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at the next event. We will split the amount of your entry fee with the Everglades Foundation. Keep in mind that this option requires that you re-register for the event once we reschedule.

We understand. We hope you can join us for the next edition in 2021. Please allow up to two weeks for this to be processed. Keep in mind that this options doesn't include the transactional processing fee imposed by the merchant processor via Runsignup, it only includes the actual entry fee ($16/registrant) itself.

Description

2020 Everglades Adventure Run Powered by Baptist Health
We’re taking several hundred runners of all ages and skill levels on school buses from various 6 locations in Dade & Broward to the heart of the Everglades National Park at sunrise for a group trail run followed by Yoga & snacks. Run is not-timed, this is an adventure run on natural trails. The point is to enjoy the views the Glades has to offer, so speed isn't important. If you're lucky you might spot the Florida Panther!

Groups will be led out according to pace. Two distance options will be available (5K & 10K). This event was held five years ago and it sold out. Limited spots will be available as per transportation limitations and National Park Service requirements. For the first time for this event we are excited to be partnering with The Everglades Foundation to bring awareness and support for their work to advocate for the Everglades. Big thanks to Baptist Health for supporting this experience.

Your ticket includes:
->Bus Transportation
->Event Entry
->We Run The Glades Shirt
->Cold Water & Refreshments
->Recovery Snacks
->Pacer Guides
->Postrun Core/Stretch/Yoga

All participants are required to take our transportation, it is part of our arrangement with the National Park Service to mitigate impact from excessive traffic and limited disruption. the bus ride is part of the experience to connect with your community.

There is no early packet pick-up because this is not a race with traditional timing bibs. It is fun run. Your shirt and participant wristband will be given upon boarding the bus.

Running + People + Miami + Environment + Health + Yoga + Nutrition + Outdoor Exercise

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. IF THERE IS INCLEMENT/DANGEROUS WEATHER WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO DELAY FOR REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. EVENT WILL NOT BE CANCELED SIMPLY BECAUSE OF JUST RAIN, THESE ARE THE EVERGLADES AND CONDITIONS CAN BE FAIRLY UNPREDICTABLE. EXPECT MUDDY CONDITIONS ALONG THE TRAIL IF IT HAS RAINED NEAR THE EVENT DATE.
