Description

In May of this year, we proudly opened the Sasquatch Wellness Trail at Starkey Park. This trail has been wildly successful, attracting daily visitors, including individuals and families, who are looking to engage with nature and focus on their well-being. The overwhelming popularity of the trail has shown us the community's strong interest in combining outdoor activity with wellness practices.

However, with this success have come challenges, including theft of signs and flooding issues. To address these concerns, we partnered with Parks and Recreation to develop a comprehensive plan. This plan not only expands the trail but also includes enhanced security measures for signs and solutions to mitigate flooding. We are excited to announce that the expanded trail will be celebrated with a special walk on October 11th.

Building on the momentum of the Sasquatch Wellness Trail, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of the Frontline and Veteran Wellness Trail at Withlacoochee River Park in Dade City on November 22nd. This trail is particularly meaningful as it is dedicated to honoring the 22 Veterans who tragically take their lives each day. We believe this space will offer a peaceful retreat for Veterans, Frontline Workers, and the general public providing a place for reflection and healing.

Additionally, we are planning to open a wellness trail at Crews Lake Park in Spring Hill. While the date and theme are still to be determined, we are committed to making this trail another cornerstone in our wellness initiative.

These trails are more than just paths through nature—they are bridges between mental and physical wellness. To further this mission, we have planned a variety of events, including mindfulness sessions, geocaching adventures, yoga classes, and much more. Each of these activities is designed to enhance the visitor experience and foster a deeper connection to both nature and personal well-being.

Join us in creating lasting spaces that foster both mental and physical wellness.
