Lanier Islands Community Benefit 5K Run/Walk

5K Run/Walk hosted by Lanier Islands Community Church to benefit Abigail Faith Haynes, born on May 7, 2012 with a rare vascular disease known as Venous Malformations. The resulting thin blood vessels cause lesions that grow rapidly into benign tumors, and nine Venous Malformations have been identified since Abigail's diagnosis in March of 2013. As of the end of 2013, Abigail has endured five surgeries, and these malformations continue to migrate to other areas and grow. If left untreated, this disease has a high probability of affecting Abigail throughout her entire life. Unfortuanetly, insurance does not cover the cost of the necessary surgeries, and all proceeds will go to help Abigail's family with medical bills.

Time:

7:00 AM  -  Packet Pick-Up and Race Day Registration begins.

8:30 AM  -  5K Run/Walk Start

Location: Start and finish is at the Lanier Islands Community Church campus, there is plenty of free parking available.

Awards:  Awards will be given for the Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, Grand Masters Male/Female, as well at the top three Male/Female runners in age groups beginning with 10 and under to 75 and over.

Stuff:  Goody bags will be supplied to each participant. A short sleeved, race T-Shirt will be provided for each paid entrant, but sizes are only guaranteed to those who are registered by Wednesday, March 26th.
