Description
Because of Covid-19 and the current phase of operations at Georgia Power Company, the Citizens of Georgia Power Carrollton chapter will not be able to offer the in-person Lightning Dash 5K. The event will be changed to a virtual race only.
Each participant registered by Wednesday September 30, 2020 will receive a race T-Shirt by mail.
As a virtual event you get to choose your favorite trail, neighborhood or walking path to run/walk your 5K. Once you have finished you will enter your time into your RunSignUp profile. After your time has been entered your name will be placed into the drawing for one of the great door prizes donated by Citizens members & sponsors. You can complete your 5K any time starting September 17 through Saturday November 7, 2020. You must have your time entered by November 7th to qualify for the door prize drawing. Once the drawing is complete the Citizens chapter will reach out to the announced winners to manage distribution of the prizes.
The Lightning Dash 5K was created as a charity fundraiser. All proceeds go to the West Georgia Area Relay for Life and The March of Dimes. No refunds will be offered. These charities rely on donations and they are needed now more than ever.
RaceJoy GPS tracking will be added for those who would like to track your route with your phone. Instructions to below.
