Go for the Grits 5k

Presented by the Beach village Merchants

Join us for the return for one of Georgia’s fastest and most scenic 5K races, Go for the Grits. This November, participants will race along Jekyll Island’s iconic beachside. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to join, and all participants will be awarded a commemorative t-shirt.

When: Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Registration Open: 8:30 a.m.

Advance Registration: $25

Day-of Registration: $40

Virtual Participation: $30

Participants will receive a 2021-branded long-sleeve t-shirt.

XS - 3XL t-shirts

Register by October 7 to guarantee a t-shirt

All ages are welcome to participate.

Awards for age group winners.

14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-24, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+

No refunds, rain or shine event. Cancelled for extreme weather conditions only.

Picked the wrong size? - participants are welcome to exchange their t-shirt at the end of the event at the registration table, pending what sizes remain available.

There will be on-site EMS and public safety staff.
