Veterans Day 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

Join Us in the Fight to Save Veteran Lives

On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., we urge you and your family to stand with us at the Veterans Day 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk—a powerful event dedicated to honoring our heroes and confronting a crisis we can no longer ignore.

                          22 Veterans Die by Suicide Every Single Day.

This heartbreaking and staggering number has become a cry for advocates across the nation—calling urgent attention to the epidemic of suicide among our veterans, especially U.S. combat-injured service members who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These are not just statistics. They are lives lost—parents, children, siblings, and friends who survived war zones but never found peace at home. Many return bearing the weight of visible and invisible wounds: loss of limbs, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). 

Fairways for Freedom®, in partnership with SSI VFW Post 4092, is taking action. All funds raised from this event will directly support local combat-injured veterans—providing them with innovative, holistic healing programs, including the therapeutic power of golf, to help them rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society with dignity and purpose.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

• $35 entry fee 5K Race (T-shirt, medal and swag bag)
• $35 entry fee 1 Mile walk (T-shirt, medal and swag bag)
• $20 for children under 12 (swag bag and participation ribbon) 
• 100% of entry fees and donations go directly to Fairways for Freedom®
• Registration received before October 8th, 2025, will be guaranteed a T-shirt.
• Registration will close Saturday, November 8th @ 7:45 am

• 9:00 am Awards (categories announced soon)

PRE-REGISTRATION PACKET PICK UP:

• Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, Game Changers, 262 Redfern Village, SSI, GA, during business hours
• Saturday, November 8th, 7:00 am to 7:45 am, Race location - registration table.
