Chateau Meichtry 5K

Please read important information below in preparation for race day:

5K starts at 8:30am on the Winery property. 

T-SHIRT & BIB# PICK-UP/IN-PERSON REGISTRATION for 5K: Each participant can pick up their own or for someone else.

Saturday - 5/16 7:30am-8:25am

Let your weather watching friends know we will have in person registration from 7:45-8:15am at the winery. Plenty of shirts and medals for last-minute sign ups.

PARKING INFORMATION:

On-site parking! For all participants, you'll be directed to park in the backside parking lot off of Pleasant Valley Road. See the map below for directions. We're expecting around 150 to 200 participants which will easily accommodate the winery parking lot.

PHOTOS:

Finish line photos will be available a few days after the race on IWeLife Facebook page. Remember to wear your bib number on the front of your shirt and easily seen by our photographer.

POST RACE FESTIVAL: 9-11am

After you finish, stay for the fun! The post-race headliner is local musician, Layne Denton! street tacos, chips and bananas. Tasting Room: Wine and beer for 21 and over, one glass of wine or beer per participant. Additional wine and merchandise also available. And don't forget to tip your servers! 5K Age Group Awards and raffle prizes including CM merch! Friendly dogs are allowed on winery property.

WEATHER:

Sat. May 16 Looks like it'll be amazing! Sunny and mid 60's at start of 5K. You can bring change of clothes for after the run/walk. RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.

Join us for the 4th Annual 5K 2nd year at Winery!

Starting and finishing at the scenic Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard & Winery near Ellijay, Ga! 

We'll run on rural roads around the winery; a family-owned and operated winery and vineyard, located in North Georgia wine country. 

The vineyard lies in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The rolling hills provide a perfect location for growing quality wine grapes. We invite you to come out for a tasting or a glass while enjoying the beautiful scenery, and on weekends, enjoy live music entertainment from a great array of Georgia musicians every Saturday & Sunday from 1:30-5:30. See events page for details!! We have indoor & outdoor seating available.  We have live music every Saturday & Sunday from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m., as well as food trucks on the weekend. We offer tours every Saturday at 12:30 p.m. 

When done with the 5K enjoy a wine garden finish; complete with live music, 1- 5oz wine (21 and over) and tacos included (more wine, and now beer available for purchase). Custom 5K finisher medals, dry-fit short sleeve t-shirt for all! Awesome raffle prizes! Proceeds will go to support Ellijay Paws in Need.
