TSF Virtual Fun Run & Walk

Join your colleagues and participate in The Thoracic Surgery Foundation's Virtual Fun Run & Walk during the week of STS 2022. Participants can run or walk this virtual 5K anytime during the week of January 21- February 1, 2022. You can complete the challenge solo or as part of a team. Teams can be hospital employees, a group of friends, a family, exhibitors, corporate staff, a group of patients, or STS staff. All are welcome! All proceeds will benefit TSF cardiothoracic surgery research programs. Share your running photos with the cardiothoracic surgery community and use the hashtags: #STS2022 and #TSF5K.

What is a virtual run?

Virtual races give runners and walkers the flexibility to complete the race at any time, at any pace, and in any location. Complete the race inside on your treadmill, or outside in your neighborhood!

Track your time and compete with others or complete the race on your own. You can even just register to receive a race t-shirt. The choice is yours! We encourage all levels of participation.

In the time of social distancing, the virtual TSF Fun Run & Walk is a great way to stay active, engage with the CT surgery community, and participate in some healthy competition while supporting TSF research programs.

Registration

• Individuals: The cost to register as an individual for the Virtual Fun Run & Walk is $50.00.
• Teams: Invite your colleagues, friends, family, or staff to run together as a team. Compete against other teams!
• Team Captain Sponsorship: Team Captain Sponsorship is $500, which includes up to 11 registrations. Team Captain Sponsors will be recognized, along with their teams. To become a Team Captain Sponsor, email tsf@sts.org.

T-Shirts/Medals

A unique TSF/STS Race T-Shirt and 5K Finisher Medal is included with your registration fee, and will be shipped to you. To ensure you receive the T-Shirt size you ordered and that you receive it by the event date, please register by Monday December 20th. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to registrants outside of the United States and Canada.

Upload Race Times

After you have completed your 5K, you can upload your results, and can compare your times to other runners. Run times are based on the honor system. Race results will be shared on a leaderboard during STS 2022 and on social media. Recognition will be attributed to high achievers. Click here to upload your race times.
