2021 OSD 5K Race - Cancel Notice

We are very saddened to inform you that the 202 OSD 5K Race have been cancelled due to Covid19 restrictions and lack of sufficient space on our race route to property social distance. Please note that the 2021 OSD festival is still being held. The safety of our runners is our primary focus.  Due to the cancellation race gear has not been ordered and will not be provided.  Run Sign Up for the 2021 OSD 5K has been closed and you are receiving this e-mail because you have already registered for this year's race.

As you know, the OSD 5K race proceeds go to a great cause, the Rockford Carrie Lynn Children's Center which is a full response center for child sexual and severe physical abuse.  The OSD 5K Race is one of the primary fund raisers for the center and due to the race cancellation the loss of proceeds from the race will be very much missed.  The center is still operating during the Covid19 crisis and during these trying times, unfortunately, is needed more than ever.

We greatly appreciate your support for the race and the Carrie Lynn Center.

We are NOT planning to make any direct refunds of your registration fee and are asking everyone who has already registered to consider donating this year's race fee to the Carrie Lynn Center.  Again we prefer you donate your fee, but If you do not wish to donate your race fee to the Carrie Lynn Center, you can request and we are willing to carry your 2021 race registration over to the 2022 OSD 5K race.
