Description
Herd of Hope Equine-Assisted Therapies, in association with RaceMaker Productions, is excited to present the first annual "Giddy-Up" Charity Cross Country Run. Do not miss the opportunity to challenge yourself on this one-of-a-kind cross country run that winds through 176-acres of serene views and vibrant nature! The timed runs will consist of 2.5 mile, 5.0 mile, or 7.5 mile races around a course set on our beautiful and historic equestrian farm located in the heart of the Traders Point rural historic district. Additionally, there will be a 1-mile “Family Fun Run” that will include multiple family-friendly rest stops on your way to a popsicle finish! We look forward to having some fun in the sun with you and your family as we all come together to support a great cause!
Here at Herd of Hope our mission is simple: to help the people of our community live healthier, more satisfying lives by connecting them with the matchless healing power of the horse through equine-assisted therapies and activities in a safe, restorative, compassionate, and inclusive environment. Herd of Hope Equine-Assisted Therapies is classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 35-2056736) and thus charitable contributions to “HoH” may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Directions
We do have some Thunder/Lightening in the area, and it looks like another wave of inclement weather will be here from 8:15-9:15 AM.
At this time for the safety of all participants we will bump the mornings schedule 1 hr to a tentative 9AM start for all distances. It looks like inclement weather will surely move past by 9 or 9:15 AM, and then we can get the race in as planned.
Packet pick up will be available from 7:45-8:45 AM under the tents near the main horse barn. If weather is bad feel free to hangout in your car until safe to snag packets.
As always if inclement weather pops up during the actual race the event will be called off, and all athletes should immediately implement their own personal safety plan seeking shelter etc. The main horse barn would be available for shelter in the case of inclement weather arising during the race.
Please note we will update here, and via email from RunSignUp system if any further changes take place.
We thank you for supporting Herd of Hope through your participation today, and hope to host you for a fun/safe event on our farm.
