Description

2 Trails Ranch is excited to team up with the Lecompton United Methodist Church for the 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit the General Fund. We will be experiencing a different part of the ranch this year. This part of the ranch will take us through the beautiful prairie grass that feeds the cattle on the ranch. The terrain is a bit kinder than the past two years. You will still experience rolling hills and wide open pasture. It is rocky in places, but manageable for all sorts of fitness levels. You will walk near one pond and over to a creek area. With fewer trees, you will be able to take in the beauty of this setting as well as see the other racers. We invite you to experience the rolling beauty of the native grass and smell the wildflowers as you run/walk through this beautiful family ranch. There will be beautiful photo ops in a May morning setting. Experience the environment the settlers did as they came through on the Oregon Trail. Our 6- generation ranch is filled with history as it sits between two historic trails, the Oregon Trail and Santa Fe Trail.  At the end of the race, enjoy a complimentary 2 Trails beef burger, chips and a bottle of water.

Path will follow the fence lines and will be easy to follow.
