Our host venue for the 2020 Horse Capital Marathon & Half Marathon is The Club at UK's Spindletop Hall in North Lexington. Our venue is less than 2 miles from 7 hotels off I-64/75 and Newtown Pike.
Grand and elegant, Spindletop Hall is a treasure that was acquired by the University of Kentucky (UK) in 1959. Originally built with oil money from the famous Texas Spindletop Oilfield, the extraordinary mansion has been a Lexington showplace since its construction was completed two years after it started in 1935.
