Description
The Doggy Dash is a family friendly charity run/walk event that benefits the Jessamine County Animal Shelter. Come support the cause for our four-legged friends. People are welcome, but not required, to bring their dogs along for the run/walk and festivities that follow.
Participants will be running on a beautifully mowed trail at Camp Nelson Historic Park, passing civil war forts and historic sites. Easy rolling hills, while enjoying the early fall scenery, is one reason this 3K will be great for runners and walkers alike.
Prizes will be given for:
- 1st Male without a dog
- 1st Male with a dog
- 1st Female without a dog
- 1st Female with a dog
The Bobby Perry Band will be providing music before, during and after the race.
Other activities include:
- Canines Got Talent where our four leg friends will show off their talents
- The Puppy Prance - a fun race for kids
- Games and other chances to win great prizes
