Description
On March 30th, 2019, Anytime Fitness of Amite will be hosting a 5K! In association with CrossFit Amite and Studio 51, this will serve as a fundraiser for local community member, Phillip Strickland.
Phillip was diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer in December of 2016.This battel was lost on February 15, 2019. He is married to Mindy Strickland and they have 2 daughters, Laila and Lilly. Phillip was born, raised, and currently resides in Osyka, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Sumner High School and attends First Baptist Church of Kentwood. Phillip completed his MBA at SLU and was employed by IDEA Consulting Group until he became too ill to work. Phillip was also active in the community attending Anytime Fitness, CrossFit Amite, and participating in the APA league.
Race Day Schedule:
7:15am - 7:45am: Registration
7:45am - 8:00am: Warm Up
8:00am : 5K Run/Walk Start
9:00am – 10:00am : Awards & Prizes
