ASGNO's Au-Some Walk to the Moon!

Join us for our FIRST EVER Virtual Challenge!  Create a flight team with your friends, family, coworkers, and pets or head out by yourself to help us reach our goal to Walk to the Moon!  Participants do NOT need to walk at the same time to count their distances together.

WHEN:

Our challenge will take place from September 1st-October 24th, 54 days in honor of the 1 in 54 incidence rate of Autism in the United States. 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Walk, Run, Bike, Swim or even Moonwalk as an individual or team and log your miles here on the challenge website to be counted in the total. 

INCREASE YOUR IMPACT:

We also have a $20,000 fundraising goal.  As you may know, all money donated to the Autism Society of Greater New Orleans stays in the Greater New Orleans area to help all affected by autism.  We help our community through our information and referral service, resource publications, Virtual Parent Support Group, Online Adults with Autism Social Group, Educational opportunities, yearly mini-grant program, and more.  During this unprecedented time, ASGNO has remained dedicated to our mission, we need YOUR HELP to be able to continue to offer the vital assistance we provide to the community.  Join the walk, create a fundraiser and help us continue to work to achieve our mission to improve the lives of ALL affected by autism. 

You can fund-raise by soliciting direct donations either online, via mail to our address, or on Facebook, you also have the option to have donors pledge to donate based on how many miles you walk!  If you need any help with setting up your fundraiser, please email us at info@asgno.org.  You do NOT have to register for the event to create a fundraiser.

• Race Finisher Medals available to purchase during registration
• Weekly leaderboards for distance and fundraising published on our social media and email
• Custom Virtual Badges available as participants reach distance goals
• Periodic random drawings all fundraisers raising a specified amount over a period of time will be entered into.
• Tiered Individual Fundraising incentives including a optional refund of your registration once you raise $150
• Team Fundraising competition-Join up with your flight team to combine the totals of your individual fundraisers to see who can raise the most!  Team fundraisers will be awarded a special recognition at the end of the event.

Blue Moon Pickup Day/Celebration

Join us for a safe and socially distanced celebration to pick up your race medals, T-shirts, and fundraising awards.  We will be hosting the pickup day on the day of a blue moon, October 31st, 2020.  More details to follow, so please be sure you are signed up for our email subscription and follow us on Facebook. Participants can also choose to have their items shipped to them for an additional fee.
