GBH 5K Run for Public Media

Celebrate spring with fellow fans of GBH. Whether you are an avid runner, or you just want to check a 5K off of your bucket list, we have two great options to get you outside of the house to support a great cause.

First, children can enjoy a one-mile Kids’ Fun Run, which begins at 9am. This race is open to children from ages 2 to 9 years- old. There is no entry fee, but we ask that you register your child here so we can anticipate how many kids will participate.

Some of your favorite PBS characters will be at the park including Arthur, Molly of Denali and Curious George! You can have the opportunity to have your picture taken with these fabulous friends!

Then, at 10am, we pick up the pace. Runners of ages 10 or older can participate in our traditional 5K course, which travels on a scenic route along the Charles River and through the DCR Artesani Park in Brighton.

Please note that, online registration for the 2022 WGBH 5K Run for Public Media will close on Saturday, April 23, at 5pm. On-site registration will be available on race day, Sunday, April 24, at the DCR Artesani Park in Brighton from 8-9:45 am unless the race is sold out. Please check the race website in advance.

This is a hybrid event. We encourage you to share the events with your family and friends on your personal and professional social media accounts!

If you are not able to be there come in person, you can elect to run the race remotely. Virtual runners are encouraged to post your time on the GBH 5K Facebook page.
