Description
Redbrook's Second Annual Fall Frolic 5K & Fun Run is happening on Sunday, September 24th at 10:00AM EDT at The Kennard Barn at Redbrook.
The kids Fun Run will begin at 10:00AM and the 5K is planned to begin at 10:30AM. Both runs will begin and end at The Kennard Barn.
Our hope is this Fall Frolic 5K & Fun Run will bring together our residents, friends, families, neighbors and running enthusiasts while contributing to a great cause - supporting the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. Unfortunately, cancer affects us all, one way or another, and we must do our best to support this critical research so that we can eradicate this terrible disease.
This event is open to anyone who would like to join – runners, walkers, parents, grandparents, friends, and folks pushing strollers too! There is something for everyone – the 5K (that travels through the historic and beautiful A.D. Makepeace Co. cranberry bog roads here at Redbrook) and the Fun Run for the younger kids (ages 3-15).
Our age guidelines are:
Fun Run - ages 3-15 are welcome to join in (children 5 and under on the day of the event are free)
5K Walk or Run - ages 10 - 100 are invited!
Stay and Join Us for Chili-Fest! This year, we are including our Annual Chili-Fest where more than 30 amazing chili makers are going to show off their skills and you can enjoy sampling all of the chili you can handle. Chili-Fest kicks off at noon and the live band begins jamming out at the same time. Stay and enjoy this family fun atmosphere for the day. Chili-Fest will announce their winner at 3pm and the band plays on for a few hours later (and the beer flows); come and spend the day on The Green at Redbrook with us!
Children 5 and below are free for the Chili-Fest. Children 5 and under do not need to be registered to attend the Chili-Fest. But, they must be registered for the Fun Run so we can ensure enough medals for all children.
A Great Value to You
Remember, if you register before September 5th, you'll get the early bird deal which gets you a discounted rate, tech tee-shirt, beer ticket for 1 free beer at the beer tent.
