WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL EVENT?
- A Virtual Event can be ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE and takes place the entire month of October 1-31, 2025
- It can be done in your neighborhood, at your favorite local trail or park, at your office during quick lunch breaks, or wherever you feel safe and motivated to complete your event
- Some examples of virtual participation include jogging, running, dancing, skating, biking, paddle boarding, yoga, Tai Chi, etc.
- To complete this event you must do ANYTHING PHYSICAL, ANYWHERE, and complete the activity ANYTIME during October
- One person can participate by doing multiple activities
- SHOW US YOUR PINK during your Virtual and In-person walks by uploading them to social media and tagging our Sisters at Heart Facebook page
WHAT IS THE IN-PERSON WALK?
- This In-Person Walk features a gathering of friends and family walking together to bring awareness to breast cancer
- The walk will begin on October 19th at the Pavillion on the Village Green
- The in-person walk registration starts at 8:30 am on the 11th
- Following a fitness warmup, the walk will begin on the Village Green, then proceed to the Waterfront Boardwalk, and will end back at the Village Green
- This is a 5k race and there will be a rescue team on site in case of emergency
**Early registration starts September 1, 2025. Registration fee is $40 / person whether you participate virtually or in person**
There is NO EXCUSE not to participate with us virtually or in person to support the men and women in our lives who are affected by breast cancer in the Southern Maryland Tri-County area.
