Maine's Fastest Mile

You endured the half marathon, you have stretched yourself at the 10k and pushed yourself to pace at the 5k. Are you ready for the sprint that is Maine’s Fastest Mile?  This annual 1 mile run supports the efforts of the Rotary Club of Yarmouth Maine.  Although it is a (very fast) rollicking good time, the race is also one of the primary fundraisers Yarmouth Rotary uses to fund its many projects around the community and the world.  We, like so many other organizations are going digital for our race this year.  While we will miss seeing you downtown for the run, we will be giving you the chance to run your mile at your leisure during the 2 week period beginning Nov 22, 2020 and ending Dec 6, 2020.

Here is just a brief sampling of the work your registration dollars go to support:  hands on, clean water projects in Guatemala, providing custom made prostethics in the Dominican Republic and life saving neo natal equipment in Bulgaria, support for youth leadership opportunities for Yarmouth High School Students, the West Side Trail network and work with Yarmouth Community Services on the soon to be constructed boardwalk project in the Riverfront Woods.  Most recently Yarmouth Rotary participated in the 1Million Mask Challenge and donated 3,000 surgical masks to first responders in Yarmouth and Cumberland.  Maine’s Fastest Mile is a test of your speed, a test of your heartiness in braving the elements and a great opportunity to support projects that make a real impact in your own neighborhood and for families around the globe.  Come join us for Maine’s Fastest Mile and show your speed and support for the local and global impact of Yarmouth Rotary.
